Swinburne University Granite
TRC were tasked with relocating a micromachining system that was delivered to Swinburne partially assembled. It had to be taken apart to separate the 600kg granite block assembly and the 150kg breadboard with optical components to fit through narrow doors and passages. The granite assembly was brought into the lab and precisely positioned on an optical table using a manual forklift. Then, the breadboard was brought into the lab on its edge, lifted using the forklift and manually positioned onto the granite. Two electronics racks were lifted onto the hanging shelf.
Swinburne had this to say about thier move:
"The move was quite challenging, but went well and smoothly. TCR staff were well equipped, worked professionally and collaboratively with WoP and Swinburne staff."
